A life in the arts is the only one I could have imagined for myself, but the meaning of that lifestyle is constantly morphing as I learn more about the art world and about my own curiosities and interests. Language and diction have always been important to me. As I reflect on recent work, I notice that I have started to develop my own language out of particularly salient images. I write notes-to-self, love letters, and postcards from imagined lands as I pull forward, distort, and manipulate the symbols in my visual vernacular.

I moved up to Boston in 2014 to pursue a BFA in fine arts. My practice has been informed by the art I have gotten to see in person and the teachings of the incredible mentors and peers I have met here. I came to Fountain Street Gallery after guest curating a show at a neighboring SOWA gallery. It was noticed by the folks at Fountain Street, and they invited me to apply for membership! A large part of my art education involved seeing shows and doing installs for various SOWA artists, and the chance to develop new work to be shown at one of my favorite galleries is an exciting next step in becoming an active part of the Boston arts community.
