Vicki McKenna has twenty images in “Portrait of a Community” at the Community Building of the United Christian Church in Lincolnville, ME. The building is located at 18 Searsmont Road, Lincolnville Center, ME. The exhibition is scheduled to run from June through the Fall. The exact opening date and reception are dependent on Maine’s guidelines for opening non-essential businesses.

“Subversive Dreams”, a solo show of work by Allison Maria Rodriguez, has been extended through September 13 at Emerson Contemporary. The show is an outdoor public art installation on the windows of the New Media Art Gallery at 25 Avery Street in Boston, viewable every night in August from 6pm-12am. The exhibition is curated by Dr. Leonie Bradbury and is a Special Project (selected by Ellen Tani and Marla McLeod) of the AREA CODE ART FAIR founded by David Guerra. Rodriguez has work in “After Spiritualism: Loss and Transcendence in Contemporary Art,“ a group exhibition at the Fitchburg Art Museum curated by Lisa Crossman on display from February 8 - September 6. The exhibition is inspired by Spiritualism’s aim to connect the living with the dead for comfort, guidance, and enlightenment.
Melissa Shaak is one of the invited artists featured in Jamaal Eversley’s “Real F.R.I.E.N.D.S” exhibition at Beacon Gallery in Boston. The exhibition, which demonstrates the power of friendship through collaborative artmaking, runs September 4—November 1.

Jamaal Eversley’s “Real F.R.I.E.N.D.S” is a group exhibition presented by Boston’s Beacon Gallery. Eversley convened the twelve featured artists, created collaborative pieces with each one, and conceptualized the show to demonstrate the power of friendship through art making. “Real F.R.I.E.N.D.S” celebrates how the best relationships are ones built on trust and understanding, with a touch of humor, playfulness, and flexibility thrown in. The exhibition, which includes painting, metalworking, ceramics, textile, poetry and mixed media creations, will run September 4—November 1.
Miller Opie has work in the 70th A-ONE national competition at Silvermine Arts Center in New Canaan, Connecticut. The exhibition runs from September 5 - October 16 and will have an online gallery viewing on their website.
Shany Porras’ work, Translation No. 1 of “Les Folies d’Espagne” (M. Marais), is part of a juried exhibit titled “In the Zone,” online at Morini Gallery, September 1-December 31. "In the Zone" is curated by Fountain Street Gallery’s Core Member Denise Driscoll.
Porras’s large painting "Palante! A Venezuelan Allegory of Symphony No. 5 by Shostakovich," has been accepted in the 2020 Mary Schein Fall Salon at Cambridge Art Association. The show is online September 9-30. A Zoom opening reception will be held Thursday, September 10, 6:30-7:30pm.
Porras will participate in the online Brookline Open Studios & Marketplace starting October 1. A selection of paintings will be sold to support the Brookline Arts Center.
Porras, along with a dozen other artists, will paint en plein air at the Framingham Centre Common to produce paintings for auction to benefit the Framingham History Center. Plein air painting will be on October 3, from 1-4 p.m. The limited-time auction will run from October 7 (10:00 a.m.) to October 8 (8:00 p.m.). More details to follow.
Kimberly Stoney has work in 2020 Bank of the Arts National Juried Exhibition at Craven Arts Council & Gallery in New Bern, NC. The exhibition runs through September 22. This year’s exhibition also includes the “Ekphrastic Poetry Competition.” Poets will create original compositions inspired by the artwork in the exhibition, with awards and readings during the September 11 ArtWalk Reception.
Rebecca McGee Tuck has a sculpture, "Mare, Terra, Vento," in the Art Ramble 2020 Water Change: Where Spirit, Nature, and Civilization Meet in the Hapgood Wright Town Forest in Concord MA. This outdoor sculpture exhibit is hosted by the Umbrella Visual Arts Center. The exhibition runs from September 1- November 8 with small artist talks planned throughout September taking the place of an opening.
Tuck has work in The Mary Schein Fall Salon, at the Kathryn Shultz Gallery and online on the Cambridge Art Association website. The exhibit runs from September 9-26 with a virtual reception on September 10 from 6:30-7:30pm.
Tuck has work in The Eighth Annual One: A Members' Exhibition at ArtsWorcester's main gallery. The exhibition runs in person and online from September 10- November 8.
Tuck has work in the Newton Art Association Annual Awards Show Online. This exhibit will be online from September 4-26 with a virtual awards and reception on September 9.
Tuck's work is also in "Go Outdoors," a public art installation of painted doors on the The Bruce Freeman Rail trail in Concord, MA. The doors will be displayed along the bike trail from July 1- November 1.
