Patty deGrandpre

  • Patty deGrandpre has work in “SIZZLE,” an online exhibition presented by Bromfield Gallery, Boston, MA. The exhibition runs August 1-31.

Virginia Mahoney

  • Virginia Mahoney's Transparent and Buffer are included in "Sizzle!" an online juried exhibition at Bromfield Gallery in Boston's SOWA gallery district. The exhibition runs August 1-31. There is no opening reception.  

Vicki McKenna

  • Vicki McKenna has twenty images in “Portrait of a Community” at the Community Building of the United Christian Church in Lincolnville, ME. The building is located at 18 Searsmont Road, Lincolnville Center, ME. The exhibition is scheduled to run from June through the Fall. The exact opening date and reception are dependent on Maine’s guidelines for opening non-essential businesses.

Allison Maria Rodriguez

  • From August 1 – 30, “Subversive Dreams”, a solo show of work by Allison Maria Rodriguez, will be held at Emerson Contemporary as an outdoor, public-art installation viewable nightly from 6pm - 12am on the windows of the Media Art Gallery at 25 Avery Street, Boston. The exhibition is curated by Dr. Leonie Bradbury and is a Special Project (selected by Ellen Tani and Marla McLeod) of the AREA CODE Art Fair founded by David Guerra.   • Rodriguez will have work in the AREA CODE: Digital Art Drive-In section of AREA CODE Art Fair - a pop-up movie theater experience featuring contemporary digital, video, and light art curated by Leonie Bradbury, and organized with the support of LuminArtz. The event will be held at the O’Keefe Sports Complex at Salem State University Friday, August 14, 8:30pm – 10:00pm. Free but tickets are required. 

  • Rodriguez will join “Utopia Now: Contemporary New England Artists,” held Thursday, August 6, 6:00pm – 7:15pm, part of a series of summer talks co-curated and co-hosted by the “AREA CODE Art Fair” in partnership with Northeastern University’s Center for the Arts. Curators Sarah Montross and Shana Dumont will share the collaborative work of the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Fruitlands Museum, and Fitchburg Art Museum in connecting New England histories to contemporary artists’ practices and will be joined by artists from the exhibitions (including Rodriguez).  Programs are FREE but require advanced registration here.

  • Rodriguez has work in  “After Spiritualism: Loss and Transcendence in Contemporary Art,“ a group exhibition at the Fitchburg Art Museum curated by Lisa Crossman on display from February 8 - September 6. The exhibition is inspired by Spiritualism’s aim to connect the living with the dead for comfort, guidance, and enlightenment.

  • Rebecca Skinner has work in the “AREA CODE Art Fair.” This online art fair is August 1-31, 2020. 

  • Skinner has work in "In the Moment" at Rocky Neck Art Colony. This online exhibition is August 1-October 15, 2020.

  • Susan Greer Emmerson has work in “AREA CODE Art Fair” online. The exhibition runs August 1 - 31, 2020.

ANNEX ARTIST NEWS

Shany Porras

  • Shany Porras will show a large (48 x 78 x 1.5 inches) painting depicting the similarities between current-day Venezuela and Stalinist Russia at the Cambridge Arts Association Mary Schein Fall Salon, September 9-30. Rebecca McGee Tuck

  • Rebecca McGee Tuck has her work included in  "Through the Window" at  The Warwick Center for the Arts in Warwick, RI.  The exhibition runs from June 27-August 8 with a virtual reception and awards ceremony on July 9 from 6-7:30pm.

  • Tuck's work is also in "Go Outdoors," a public art installation of painted doors on The Bruce Freeman Rail trail in Concord, MA. The doors will be displayed along the bike trail from July 1- November 1.
