Looking forward

Since the Opening a little over a week ago, there’s been a steady stream of visitors every day that the gallery’s been open. People have found us through news reports in the

Metrowest Daily News

and the

Boston Globe

, online in

WickedLocal

and

Patch

postings for many Boston area communities, or in

Artscope

online magazine. Visitors have stopped in because of their friends’ recommendations (thanks!). Several people combined a visit to our gallery with a trip to the

Danforth Museum

- a two-for-one arts afternoon!

As we look around our beautiful new gallery-

then...

...and now!

We’re filled with awe and wonder- (We

MADE

this??!!!)  And bewilderment  (Now what??!!!)

We have been so pleased to see the immensely positive response from all our visitors, and encouraged by sales in the gallery.  By far, however, the most common question is “ What’s next?”

Anyone who’s had a baby (or anyone who’s been one) knows that birth is the easy part.  Our task now is to nurture and grow the gallery to realize our dreams for the space.  Over the next few months, we plan to host a variety of exhibitions, workshops and events as well as to welcome core and associate artists who are talented, adventurous, and who share our vision.

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming up:

In March, printmaker and mixed media artist

Lisa Barthelson

will exhibit her installation ‘family debris series'. She will be joined by 3D artist

Virginia Fitzgerald

, creator of ‘the dress project’.

April is Open Studios month at

Fountain Street Studios

. A 10x10 exhibit of work by building and member artists is planned, along with a public art installation.

Look for

Roy Perkinson’s

work, “Moods of Light’, in May.

Details to follow!
