Sarah Alexander’s piece I’m Here Still Here has been accepted into the SculptureNow exhibit at The Mount, Edith Wharton's Home 2 Plunkett St, Lenox, MA. The exhibition runs June 1- October 21, and there is a Meet the Artists June 18, 2-5pm. There will be Artist Guided Public Tours, Sundays July 16, August 13, September 17, October 15, 2:00-3:30 pm. Alexander is the juror for Art on the Trails at Beal’s Preserve in Southborough MA. The exhibition will be installed in the Beal’s Preserve on Saturday, June 10 and will remain in the Preserve until September 17. Station, Brookline, MA. The exhibition runs from May 27 - September 4, with an opening reception the afternoon of May 27 (rain date May 28).
Monica DeSalvo’s solo exhibition, “A Bus Tour in the Woods: Visual Duets with her Father” at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts will run from August 29–September 29, with a reception Thursday, September 21, at 6:30 pm. It will be shown in conjunction with “The Day After Yesterday: Portrait of Dementia,” by photographer Joe Wallace. The gallery is located at 98 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton, MA.
DeSalvo will also have work in “Showing Up: The Practice of Art” at the Belmont Gallery of Art, curated by Adria Arch, September 9–October 22, with a reception on Sunday, September 10, 1–3 pm. The gallery is located at the Town Hall Complex, Homer Building, 19 Moore St., 3rd floor, Belmont, MA.
Kay Hartung has work in the “Danforth Annual Juried Exhibition 2023” at Danforth Art Museum in Framingham, MA. The exhibition runs June 24 - September 17 with an opening reception on June 24, 6-8pm.
Virginia Mahoney has four works included in “Cut It Out,” an invitational group exhibition at Twiggs Gallery in Boscawen, NH. The show runs from September 9 - October 28, with an opening reception on September 9 from 1-3pm. Twiggs Gallery is located at 254 King St., Boscawen, NH and is open Thursday-Saturday 11-4 and Sunday 12-4.
Mahoney’s work is included in New Bedford’s DATMA (Design Art Technology Massachusetts) “Open Studios on the Sidewalk” outdoor image displays of artwork, located in Tonnessen Park and at the Entrance of the Seastreak Ferry building in downtown New Bedford, MA. This exhibition continues from June 22–October 23 and consists of large images of artwork by artists whose work is not usually outdoors. The two works included by Mahoney are Blinders and Shield from her 2021–22 series, Shielded State.
Miller Opie will show her piece Protecting Vitis in the Sculptors Guild exhibition “Touch” this September and October. The show will be held in the Bendeim Gallery, 299 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich, CT and run through October 26.
Melissa Shaak has work in "Showing Up: The Practice of Art" at Belmont Gallery of Art, 19 Moore Street, 3rd Floor, Homer Building, Belmont, MA. Curated by Adria Arch, the exhibition runs from September 9 through October 22, with an opening reception on Sunday, September 10, 1-3 pm.
Shaak has work in “Studios Without Walls” outdoor exhibition, "the sum of its pARTS," at Riverway Park, located next to the Longwood T Station, Brookline, MA. The exhibition runs from May 27 - September 4, with an opening reception the afternoon of May 27 (rain date May 28).
Robert Sullivan's solo show, “ENCONTRA,” will be shown at Aplomb Gallery, 15 Mechanic St., Dover, NH. The exhibition runs September 9 - October 28 with an opening reception on September 9 from 5-8pm.
Sylvia Vander Sluis’ sculpture, Passage V, is in the exhibit “Soulful Sculpture.” This New England Sculptors Association (NESA) and LexArt show runs August 5 - September 3. LexArt gallery hours: Tuesday - Sunday 11:00am - 5:00pm, located at 130 Waltham St, Lexington, MA.
