“I was asked to participate in a two person show at the former Fountain Street in Framingham with the amazing Cory Shea. It was my first big show out of college and I was excited to exhibit in such a cool historic space. The show was well received and Marie asked if I wanted to join the team! I felt supported and excited about the prospect of planning for more shows so I said “woo yes”.
Now it has been four years! Since then, Fountain Street gave me a foundation to grow my art practice and has introduced me to a lot of amazing people. It is a network of fellow creatives who have big dreams. My favorite thing is definitely planning and putting on the next show. I love having a deadline to work up to years in the future and an opportunity to completely take over our beautiful clean gallery space in SoWa. Also, for me, the benefit of a member’s gallery model, is there is no undue pressure to sell your work, you simply get to make work that you are passionate and excited about.”
