I am a compulsive collector! At the beach, on the street, in dumpsters, attics, tag sales;  If you lost something or threw it away, chances are I will use it in my art practice. The “stuff” I amass I think of as emotional artifacts. I love to create stories of where it all came from and use that as information within my work. A sculpture is always inspired by an object or the location where I found it. From there I use many different techniques;  welding, weaving, embroidery, sewing, collage are my favorites.

I just graduated from MassArt last May after a 25 year gap to raise my family. After graduation I began to join some art associations and I started getting my work accepted into juried shows. During my studio’s second Friday event, Sarah Alexander, a Core member of Fountain Street Gallery mentioned the call for members. It was a great next step for me. Fountain Street was just named 2019 Best Gallery in Boston and I was thrilled that they chose to include me as an Annex Member.
