THRIVE features the twenty-eight artists who collaboratively maintain daily gallery operations. Working in media from painting to digital art, these individual artists collectively form a community that is Fountain Street. In this show, these diverse artists come together on a unified topic, presenting a myriad of interpretations on the designated theme: THRIVE.
THRIVE refers to the small plant that somehow emerges in a landscape of concrete and in the inspirational drive behind an artist’s practice. It is the beauty of survival and the fear of infestation. It references the concrete and the imaginative, the real and the virtual, the intrinsic and the superficial. Ultimately, in a time of political uncertainty, this exhibition invites the viewer to contemplate our current collective understanding of what it means to THRIVE.
